The defect

Daimler Trucks North America LLC (DTNA) is recalling certain model year 2016 Minotour DRW school buses manufactured February 2, 2015, to June 11, 2015. During relocation of the alternator, the wiring harness may have been rerouted incorrectly resulting in the power cable being strained. As a result, the power cable may become loose at the alternator terminal.

The risk

A loose power cable to alternator terminal nut may result in an electrical arc, increasing the risk of a fire.
