The defect

Shyft Group (Shyft Group) is recalling certain 2022 Utilimaster Walk-In vans. The catalytic converter theft deterrent cover may contact and damage the hydraulic brake lines.

Damaged brake lines may leak, causing a loss of brakes and increasing the risk of a crash.

The fix — what to do

Shyft Group will modify the cover to provide proper clearance and replace damaged brake lines as necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed in November 2022.
