The defect

Forest River, Inc. (Forest River) is recalling certain 2025 Freelander motorhomes. The Federal Placard indicates 30 seat-belted positions in the rear, when the correct number of belted positions is 3. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) number 120, "Wheels and Rims - Other than Passenger Cars" and 49 CFR Part 567, "Certification."

The risk

Incorrect seating capacity information may lead to overloading the vehicle, increasing the risk of a crash.
