Audi: checking rear axle differential (ce). Some vehicles manufactured within a specific period, the rear axle differential may have been fitted with non tempered bevel gears, which can exhibit a high degree of wear after a short period of service. The rear axle differential will be checked and, if necessary, the axle oil must also be checked. If the wear is excessive, the rear axle differential must be replaced. *pe
