Dealer principal memo (sc128) - kia motors america, inc. Is conducting a voluntary emissions recall campaign (sc128) on certain 2016 my kia optima vehicles equipped with either the 2.0 l turbo engine (ulev 50 state emissions), or the 2.4 l gdi sulev california emissions) engine. Some of the 2.0l turbo engine models were built with the air cleaner and evaporative canister for the 2.4l sulev model and some of the 2.4l sulev vehicles were built with the wrong air cleaner. Kia is recalling these vehicles to correct the misbuild by installing the proper components as originally intended.
