Pitstop: power tail gate functionality concerns - when diagnosing a concern related to power tail gate (ptg) functionality on 2016my sorento (uma) vehicles, produced prior to january 13, 2015, closely inspect connector rr01 for evidence of corrosion. This connector can be accessed by removing the interior tail gate trim, as outlined in body > interior-exterior section of kgis. If corrosion is found in the connector (a), the tailgate and exterior garnish-side harness must be replaced refer to epc for applicable part numbers.
