Official summary

Pitstop: sorento (xm) with dtc codes p0449 or p2422 - some sorento (xm) vehicles may set a dtc flow p0449 or p2422 which may be caused by spider webs in and around the evaporative emissions vent lines creating the set dtc. To repair this condition, inspect the air filter assembly (located on the ccv) and the evaporative emissions vent lines for spider webs or debris before replacing any components. The spider webs needs to be cleared from the lines with a pipe cleaner, wire or replacement of the restricted component (blowing compressed air through the lines is often ineffective).

What a TSB means. Technical service bulletins are repair guidance manufacturers send to dealers — they are not recalls, and repairs are not automatically free (warranty extensions are an exception worth checking). The full document is available via NHTSA’s vehicle lookup.
