This bulletin provides the procedure to replace the air cleaner box and/or the evaporative canister of some 2016 my kia optima (jfa) 2.0l turbo (ulev - 50 state emissions) and the 2.4 l gdi (sulev vehicles - california emissions), produced from job #1 through january 15, 2016. Some of these vehicles were built with the wrong air cleaner and/or evaporative canister. Kia is recalling these vehicles to correct the misbuild by installing the proper components, as originally intended.
