Official summary
Some 2014-2017 fiesta and 2015-2017 focus vehicles with the 1.0l gtdi engine may exhibit a turbocharger wastegate rod rattle. This may be due to the wastegate linkage. This noise is considered normal and is not a sign of a defective turbocharger. The wastegate rod has clearances built into the control linkage to accommodate thermal expansion. The turbocharger should not be replaced for this condition.
