"situation: on vehicles fitted with the 2.0l gtdi engine only, a loss of performance may be experienced and/or the malfunction indicator lamp (mil) may be illuminated and diagnostic trouble code (dtc) p0299-00 may be stored in the engine control module (ecm). Cause: this may be caused by a breakdown of exhaust manifold internals causing a restriction and/or turbocharger damage."
