Official summary
Some 2017 f-150 vehicles built on or before 01-feb-2017 and equipped with a 3.5l gasoline turbocharged direct injection (gtdi) engine may exhibit an inoperative tachometer with no dtcs and no other instrument cluster concerns. To correct, reprogram the gateway module using integrated diagnostic system (ids) release 104.04 or higher. Make sure you are connected to the internet when entering module programming to obtain the latest updates. Calibration files may also be obtained at www.motorcraftservice.com.
