Official summary

This Preliminary Information communication provides information to the technician about vehicles that have the content theft alarm is inoperative. Dealer should communicate to the customer this condition is a normal operating characteristic of their vehicle. Technician should be advised that the vehicle must have Keyless Entry Regular Production Option Code (AU0/AU3) and Regular Production Option Code YE9 or Y91 to be equipped with content theft alarm.
