Official summary

This Preliminary Information communication provides information to the technician about vehicles that have multiple Head Up Display issues. An issue with the Head Up Display image may not appear clear can be caused by a non-original equipment manufacturer windshield installed. Another issue that may be present with the Head Up Display is the segments illuminate intermittently this can be caused by the ambient lighting conditions. A poor or hazy Head Up Display image can be caused by Instrument Panel emit fumes that cause a film to form on the HUD lens. Technician will need to use Isopropyl Rub
