Flash: Engine Does Not Start at The First Attempt This bulletin involves upgrading the software in the Electronic Steering Lock (ESL) Module. The customer may experience malfunction on first attempt to start the vehicle. Initial cranking is inhibited but should start/crank on the second attempt. Upon further inspection the technician may find Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) B1000-01 - Electronic Control Unit - General Electrical Failure stored in the ESL Module.
