Official summary
TECH ARTICLE TA0001: 2014 and Later Sportsters - Rear Brake Sound. A customer reports a sound (similar to a groan) from the rear of the vehicle and/or the rear brake area during rear brake application under 7 mph. Explain to the customer that this is the result of a normal harmonic resonance at certain frequencies. It is not detrimental to motorcycle operation, performance or durability.
