Official summary

TSB: Revision Notice: Production Change Information section has been updated. Any previous printed versions of this bulletin should be discarded. Some 2014 model year Highlander and Highlander HV vehicles may exhibit an abnormal noise, like a ?squeak/squawk/groan? type noise, from the rear suspension when traveling over uneven roads which may become more pronounced in colder ambient temperatures. The abnormal noise may be caused by the Rear Trailing Arm bushing. An updated Rear Trailing Arm Assembly is available. Follow the Repair Procedure in this bulletin to address this condition.

Vehicles covered

What a TSB means. Technical service bulletins are repair guidance manufacturers send to dealers — they are not recalls, and repairs are not automatically free (warranty extensions are an exception worth checking). The full document is available via NHTSA’s vehicle lookup.
