Official summary
This communication provides important information for obtaining the exhaust stud press tool, model OTC 5057 for use with removing broken DPF studs while performing TDI Emissions Recall 23V6. Please ensure you review the repair procedure outlined in the Emissions Recall Circular 23V6 to avoid subsequent exhaust system damage. The exhaust stud press tool automatic shipment program will begin in late December 2017.
