Official summary
2017-2018 F-Super Duty/F-650/F-750/E-Series/Transit chassis cab and stripped chassis vehicles have their front alignment set as part of final assembly. The addition of aftermarket equipment such as utility and box bodies will change the ride height and therefore the alignment angles. Front-end alignments performed before the addition of aftermarket equipment may not be accurate. It is the responsibility of the final-stage manufacturer to check and set alignment angles and set clear vision (steering wheel orientation) after the addition of the aftermarket equipment. What a TSB means. Technical service bulletins are repair guidance manufacturers send to dealers — they are not recalls, and repairs are not automatically free (warranty extensions are an exception worth checking). The full document is available via NHTSA’s vehicle lookup.
