Official summary
This Preliminary Information communication provides information to the technician about vehicles that have a “Service 4WD Message” displayed in the Driver Information Center. Technician may find Diagnostic Trouble Codes C0392 or C0396. Technician should check the terminal tension on the Transfer Case Control Module X1 connector. Technician should repair any terminal that have poor terminal tension.
