"?GARAGE DOOR OPENER CANNOT BE PROGRAMMED Whats new: ? ""Model"": G30 (5 Series) added . The vehicle's rear view mirror integrated universal remote control is incompatible with some garage door (or fence) opener devices installed at the driver's residence and/or business. If the garage door opener was manufactured before 1993, it will not be compatible with any HomeLink device. Installing the compatibility bridge will NOT link these units. This is due to several incompatible frequency's used before 1993."
