N55 Engine Does Not Start on First Attempt when Cold. The engine turns over but does not start on the first attempt. It will normally start on the second or third attempt, and no faults are stored in the DME. This occurs sporadically, usually at low ambient temperatures and when the engine is also cold. Unfavorable DME software in conjunction with a partially charged battery
