Official summary
This Preliminary Information communication provides information to the technician about vehicles that may have an EZ Lift and Lower tailgate opens too quickly. Technician will ensure nothing was added to the tailgate. If the tailgate opens within approximately 2-6 seconds, no repairs should be made. Technician should inspect the right tailgate bushing if the tailgate opens too quickly.
