SSM 47903 - 2018-2019 F-150/F-Super Duty/Transit - Rear Axle Pinion Seal Fluid Leak/Seepage Some 2018-2019 F-150, F-Super Duty, and Transit vehicles may exhibit the appearance of a fluid leak or seepage from the rear axle pinion seal. The appearance of a fluid leak or seepage on a vehicle with less than 500 miles or less than 3 months in service may not be due to a failed rear axle pinion seal. The appearance of fluid around the seal may be from the axle assembly being shipped to the vehicle assembly plant with the pinion facing down.
