RETAINER, Crankshaft Rear Oil Seal Oil leak from rear engine seal retainer or windage tray/gasket Check for other sources of leaks using dye such as gallery plugs, camshaft cup plug at rear of engine, rear of engine valley for possible MDS solenoid, VVT solenoid, block porosity or transmission leaks. If another source of the leak was identified, proceed with the appropriate repairs. Engineering is looking for assistance in determining root cause and a corrective action on crankshaft rear oil seals and windage tray/gaskets.
