Official summary
Some 2019-2020 F-150 vehicles equipped with a 2.7L EcoBoost engine may experience an illuminated malfunction indicator lamp (MIL) with diagnostic trouble code (DTC) P2196 and/or P2198 stored in the powertrain control module (PCM) with no drivability concerns. Engineering is working to implement a solution for this condition. In the interim, clear the DTCs with the appropriate Ford scan tool and schedule a follow-up appointment with the customer for July 2020.
