PRODUCT IMPROVEMENT - Owner Letter - This document is the notice to customers advising them of the Product Improvement Campaign to update the ECU in their vehicles. Kia Motors America, Inc. is conducting an important Product Improvement Campaign to perform a software update on 2014-2016 MY Soul vehicles equipped with 2.0L Gasoline Direct Injection (â GDIâ ) engines to protect the engine from excessive connecting rod bearing damage. The update will be done free of charge and will only involve the addition of newly developed computer software for the Engine Control Unit (â ECUâ ).
