Some 2020 Edge/Nautilus/Escape/Corsair/Transit Connect vehicles with and 8F35/8F40 transmission built on or before 30-Sep-2020 may exhibit an illuminated powertrain malfunction (wrench) indicator with diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs) P0741 and/or P1744 present or stored in the powertrain control module (PCM). This may be due to the torque converter and a pump stator bushing leak. Replacement of only the torque converter and/or the main control may not resolve the concern.
