INTELLIGENT KEY UNIT DTC P161D STORED IN THE ECM SERVICE INFORMATION DTC P161D (IMMOBILIZER) will not cause: ï · The MIL to turn ON. ï · The Remote Engine Start to become inoperative. ï · The â No Key Detectedâ message to appear. ï · An impact to any of the vehicleâ s functions or performance. If other DTCs are stored with P161D, perform the diagnosis and repair procedures, outlined in the ESM, for the other DTCs first. ï · After the other DTCs have been resolved and P161D does not clear, proceed with the diagnosis and repair, outlined in the ESM, for DTC P161D.
