Official summary

Complaint: Height adjustment of electric steering column adjustment jams in upper / lower adjustment position or it generates a cracking noise when exiting the upper /lower adjustment position (e.g. for Easy Entry function). Cause: Height adjustment runs into upper / lower limit stop and jams there or generates a breakaway cracking noise when exiting the jammed limit stop. Remedy: 1. Move fore/aft adjustment to the end position. 2. Release jamming of height adjustment by knocking with palm of hand onto top of steering wheel. At the same time, push adjusting switch (downwards). 3.
