Official summary

Some 2020-2021 F-Super Duty vehicles equipped with a 6.7L engine built on or before 10-Feb-2021 may exhibit a thump/whine/knock noise from the fuel tank at idle or during key on, engine off (KOEO). The noise may be more pronounced at fuel levels at or below 1/4 tank. This may be due to the fuel pump strategy in the powertrain control module (PCM) software. To correct the condition, follow the Service Procedure to reprogram the PCM.

What a TSB means. Technical service bulletins are repair guidance manufacturers send to dealers — they are not recalls, and repairs are not automatically free (warranty extensions are an exception worth checking). The full document is available via NHTSA’s vehicle lookup.
