Official summary

IF YOU CONFIRM: A whine or grind type noise heard during acceleration and/or constant highway speeds. -The level of noise may increase as vehicle speed increases AND there are no other drivability issues or stored DTCs related to the CVT assembly (CVT). ACTION: Refer to the REPAIR FLOW CHART on page 3 for repair procedure. Refer to page 2 for information on special service tools. NOTE: Parts Kit #1 (see PARTS INFORMATION) must be available at the time the reduction gear bearing shim selection procedure, starting on page 11, is to be performed. See this bulletin for further detail.

What a TSB means. Technical service bulletins are repair guidance manufacturers send to dealers — they are not recalls, and repairs are not automatically free (warranty extensions are an exception worth checking). The full document is available via NHTSA’s vehicle lookup.
