BACKGROUND The trailer hitch weight was not properly calculated into the gross axle weight rating (GAWR) on the vehicle certification label. This can create a situation where the vehicle exceeds the indicated gross axle weight rating. Additionally, the Owner s Guide incorrectly states the towing capacity of the vehicle is 1,500 lbs. The Owner s Guide should show a table listing the towing capacity based on the number of passengers in the vehicle.
