Official summary

Some 2020-2021 F-Super Duty vehicles equipped with a 6.7L engine may exhibit an illuminated malfunction indicator lamp (MIL) with only diagnostic trouble code (DTC) P0315 stored in the powertrain control module (PCM). If no drivability concerns are present, clear the DTC and retest. If the DTC returns, perform normal diagnostics per the Powertrain Control/Emissions Diagnosis (PC/ED) Manual. If the DTC does not return, inform the customer that Ford is developing a PCM software fix that is expected in late August/early September, 2021. Advise the customer that vehicle durability is not affected

What a TSB means. Technical service bulletins are repair guidance manufacturers send to dealers — they are not recalls, and repairs are not automatically free (warranty extensions are an exception worth checking). The full document is available via NHTSA’s vehicle lookup.
