Complaint The warning message â PRE-SAFE inoperativeâ shown on IC display. â PRE-SAFE Inoperativeâ message found in cluster. Quick test shows that either left or right front Emergency Tensioning Retractor (ETRs) are unable to communicate with XENTRY Diagnosis. Instrument cluster confirms communication issues with ETRs. Note: If short or open circuit faults are found (or any other faults related to the ETRs), this document is not relevant.
