Official summary
Some 2022 Escape and Bronco Sport vehicles may exhibit a powertrain malfunction (wrench) indicator with diagnostic trouble code (DTC) P0929:77 stored in the gear shift module (GSM). This may be due to the software in the GSM. To correct this condition, reprogram the GSM module using the latest software level of the Ford Diagnosis and Repair System (FDRS). For claiming, use causal part 7P155 and applicable labor operations in Section 10 of the Service Labor Time Standards (SLTS) Manual.
