Official summary
Mercedes-Benz AG ("MBAG"), the manufacturer of Mercedes-Benz vehicles, has determined that on certain Model Year (â MYâ ) 2012-2016 GLK-Class, E-Class, ML-Class, GLE-Class, and GL-Class (204, 212 and166 platforms) vehicles, an incorrect NOx sensor, Diesel Particulate Filter (DPF), Selective Catalytic Reduction (SCR) catalyst and/or Particulate Matter (PM) sensor may have been installed, which may not correspond to the specifications set forth in the â BlueTEC updateâ Approved Emission Modification (AEM) program. The incorrect hardware may potentially result in increased exhaust gas emissions.
