Official summary
Battery Charge Indicator (BCI) Replacement Customers may experience a Malfunction Indicator Lamp (MIL) illumination. Upon further investigation the technician may find the following DTC has been set: ? B1271-00 - Charge Level Indicator Internal. Customer may also experience the following: ? BCI does not indicate charge status while the vehicle is charging. This bulletin involves replacing the BCIM.
