When replacing the radio on a 2010 ? 2011 vehicle equipped with a Premium 8 (RCD 510) radio with part number ending in the suffix ?AC? (1K0 035 180 AC), if the replacement part has a suffix ?AF?, make sure that online coding is performed. DO NOT PERFORM ANY SOFTWARE UPDATE OF THE ?AF? RADIO USING AN SD CARD OR ANY OTHER MEANS. No software updates are available for ?AF? suffix radios. Any attempt to update the software using an SD card or other means can result in permanent damage to the radio.
