Official summary

Mercedes-Benz AG (â MBAGâ ), the manufacturer of Mercedes-Benz vehicles, has determined that on certain Model Year 2021 C-Class (205 platform), CLA (118 platform), G-Class (463 platform), GLC (253 platform), GLA (247 platform) and GLE/GLS (167 platform) vehicles, the installed ignition coils may not correspond to current specifications. As a result, a misfire could occur, followed by potentially reduced engine output, and illumination of the check engine Malfunction Indicator Lamp (â MILâ ). This may also cause exhaust emissions to increase. MBUSA will conduct a voluntary Emissions Recall Camp

What a TSB means. Technical service bulletins are repair guidance manufacturers send to dealers — they are not recalls, and repairs are not automatically free (warranty extensions are an exception worth checking). The full document is available via NHTSA’s vehicle lookup.
