Official summary
Rivian is launching a technical service bulletin for some model year 2022 R1T vehicles that are equipped with an early revision upper tailgate trim panel. If easily-damaged cargo is placed against the tailgate while it is closed, the upper tailgate trim panel could abrade the cargo when the vehicle is in motion. Upon customer complaint, Rivian will replace the upper tailgate trim panel with an updated component that has a rubber insert designed to protect cargo.
