Some 2024 Nautilus full hybrid electric vehicles (FHEV) may set a diagnostic trouble code (DTC) U053B:86 in the secondary on-board diagnostic control module C (SOBDMC) when a diagnostic self-test is performed. This may be due to a communication error between the image processing module A (IPMA) and SOBDMC. Replacement or reprogramming of the IPMA and/or SOBDMC will not resolve this condition.
