Official summary
This is to notify you of the Service Campaign Launch to inspect the weld seam on the trunk lid for a crack on 41 Model Year (â  MYâ  ) 2023 C-Class (206 platform) vehicles. The vehicles will be visible and flagged in VMI as â  OPENâ  on February 16, 2024. Mercedes-Benz AG (â  MBAGâ  ), the manufacturer of Mercedes-Benz vehicles, has determined that on certain MY 2023 C-Class (206 platform) vehicles, the weld seam on the trunk lid may not meet current production specifications. It is possible that a crack may be evident on the weld seam. MBUSA will conduct a service campaign.
