Official summary
Some 2024 F-150 vehicles equipped with a 3.5L PowerBoost may set incorrect cylinder misfire DTCs while the CSER monitor is active. The CSER monitor runs for approximately 3 minutes after a cold soak start-up. If a misfire occurs while the CSER monitor is running, the powertrain control module (PCM) software strategy may set an incorrect cylinder misfire code. Prior to a repair attempt, allow the vehicle to run for at least 3 minutes and verify any individual cylinder misfire codes by performing a Power Balance Test using the Ford Diagnostic and Repair System (FDRS) scan tool.
