Official summary
The battery management control unit software does not meet current production specifications. The battery's state of health may not be calculated correctly, resulting in the false illumination of the check engine malfunction indicator lamp. An authorized Mercedes-Benz dealer will update the battery management control unit software, free of charge. Your vehicle must be brought to a dealer to complete the software update.
