Official summary
Hyundai has become aware that the subject vehicles may contain a faulty sensor in the EGR valve assembly which could potentially result in an electrical short. An electrical short within the EGR valve could lead to a malfunction of the EGR valve or crank position sensor, both of which reside on the same power circuit, resulting in the malfunction indicator light (“MIL”) illumination and/or sudden loss of drive power during operation.
