Official summary
Some of the vehicles listed in the Model statement above may exhibit an engine coolant temperature gauge falsely reading at the high end of the normal range while towing in high ambient temperatures with no DTC stored in the PCM or warning messages present in the IPC. This may be due to the software in the IPC.
