Official summary

Mercedes-Benz AG, the manufacturer of Mercedes-Benz vehicles, has determined that on certain subject vehicles, the engine control unit software does not correspond to current production specifications. The diagnosis routine for the pressure sensor in the crankcase ventilation system may be populated with incorrect data. As a consequence, the check engine light may illuminate after the engine is switched off even though there is no functional impairment. MBUSA will conduct a service campaign. An authorized Mercedes-Benz dealer will update the engine control unit software.
