Some 2024 Ranger vehicles may exhibit an illuminated malfunction indicator lamp (MIL) with diagnostic trouble code (DTC) P06DA and/or P06DB stored in the powertrain control module (PCM). This may be due to a damaged oil pressure control solenoid connector C1744. Before performing normal Workshop Manual (WSM) diagnostics, perform the wiggle test and inspect this connector and wires for damage. If damage is found, repair as necessary.
