Official summary
Some 2025 Expedition/Navigator vehicles may experience a "Cross Traffic Alert/Side Obstacle Detection Fault" message in the instrument panel cluster (IPC) with diagnostic trouble code (DTC) B15D9:78 stored in the SODL and/or DTC B159C:78 stored in the SODR. Before proceeding with normal Workshop Manual (WSM) diagnostics in Section 419-04, raise the vehicle and carefully inspect both the SODL and SODR modules for proper attachment on the mounting sheet metal, ensure all clips are fully seated (module properly attached) and repair as necessary.
