Official summary
Some 2024-2025 F-150 Lightning and 2025 Mustang Mach-E vehicles may exhibit various intermittent inoperative climate control symptoms with diagnostic trouble code (DTC) B1717:06 in the heat pump valve control module (HPVCM). Workshop Manual (WSM), Section 412-00 Climate Control System - General Information > Diagnosis and Testing > Pinpoint Test AW has been updated to address this condition. Refer to the revised WSM section for normal diagnosis.
